Our Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble both offer students a more traditional band experience. Both bands focus on similar skillsets, but our Symphonic Band is geared towards incoming freshmen, or those students who just don't feel up to speed with the Wind Ensemble. They each perform 2-3 concerts within the school year, as well as at graduation.
Band Officers
Below is a list of officers, including their positions and duties.
President - Andrew Lamb
Responsibilities of the president include communicating rehearsal dates and responsibilities to students involved in the band program. This may include setting up a remind or social media page. The president is also responsible for organizing the officers and ensuring they are fulfilling their duties.
Vice President - Kaitlin Benthin
The vice president is responsible for assisting the president in their duties, with the added responsibility of overseeing social media presence.
Treasurer - Soren Lamb
The treasurer is responsible for collecting funds that are being raised by students. This may be for social functions surrounding concerts or otherwise organized by the officers.
Secretary - Mikayla Millsaps
The secretary is responsible for taking notes during meetings. They are also responsible for any formal correspondence to others outside of Ms. Sablan or the band student body. The secretary is ALSO the head social chair for the program.
Librarians - Kelsie Bartlett & Tristen Millsaps
The class librarian is responsible for organizing and retrieving music to be used in class. They will also help copy/scan music for class.
Custodian - Michael Villarreal & Cole Hopkins
The custodian is responsible for general upkeep of stands, chairs, and instruments. They should help Ms. Sablan keep track of instruments being sent out for repairs.
